Emigrated to Israel with the second wave of Zinkov pioneers and helped form one of the first labor unions. He worked at first on a road crew until a foot injury forced him to quit. He devoted himself to the founding of a Jewish homeland. Educated at Hebrew University where he received a masters degree in Ancient Greek History and Mythology. He served as an emissary to Estonia where he met his wife. On returning to Israel he became a teacher and Dean at the Bialik School, the finest school in Tel Aviv. He died in 1939 at the age of 36, leaving a wife and two children.
